A spec can sell. Until a signatory buys it or hires you, the pages are yours and no Guild floor applies. An option can pay for time without being a purchase. Confirm whether the company is a signatory before treating any figure as scale.

Residuals $535.5 million. Feature earnings $521 million, up 7.2%. Television jobs are down more than 33% since 2022; feature jobs are down about 14%, with 2,007 members reporting feature earnings. Guild figures are aggregates for members who reported covered earnings. They are not a typical-writer salary, and they omit writers who reported no covered earnings that year.
