The Cast tab in the right sidebar is built from the script itself: every character cue becomes an entry, so the list is always exactly who speaks, with no separate roster to maintain.
What each entry shows
- The character's name as it appears in cues.
- How many lines of dialogue they have, and in how many scenes.
- The scenes they appear in, so you can jump to the first or the last.
Select a character to filter the outline to their scenes — a quick way to read one part straight through.
Renaming a character
Choose Rename on an entry, type the new name, and Plot shows how many cues and mentions will change before it changes them. The rename covers cues, dialogue that names the character, and action lines, and it is a single undo.
Where the numbers go
The same counts feed production reports — the scene breakdown and the day-out-of-days list a character's scenes from this data — and the dialogue balance on a coverage read.
