Below the switcher and the milestones, the History tab is a timeline. Every save point, every milestone, every incorporate, and every issued revision color is an entry, newest first, with who did it and when. On a shared project that is how you see what a collaborator did while you were away.
What an entry shows
- The kind — save point, milestone, incorporate, revision — and its label.
- Who made it. On a project with members, the name; on your own, just the time.
- Which draft line it belongs to. The timeline shows the current line by default; switch lines to read another's.
Select any entry to read that version or compare it with the present.
Filtering
The filter at the top narrows the timeline to milestones only, to one person, or to entries since a date — "what changed since the table read" is one filter. Routine auto-saves sit behind Show earlier auto-saves, so the list stays the moments someone chose to keep.
What it is not
The revision log records versions, not keystrokes. Auto-save runs continuously in the background; the moments someone chose to keep are the entries with a label. If you want a finer record of a working session, make save points more often.
