Open the Film & TV screenplay you actually want to continue and download it as Fountain (.fountain). Celtx can import FDX, but its current screenplay download formats are Fountain and text — use Fountain so scene headings, character cues, and dialogue remain structured.
Open Plot, create the screenplay project, and invite the people who will review the switch. Keep the Celtx workspace available during the handoff, but identify which app owns the pages before anyone edits.
Open Import / Export in Plot and choose the .fountain file. Read the import summary and spot-check the title page, scene headings, dual dialogue, and any nonstandard elements before continuing.
Create a save point such as Imported from Celtx — Aug 28 before changing a line. Celtx's project history, comments, schedule, and budget do not travel inside Fountain; the save point preserves the screenplay state that did.
Use an analysis skill or a reviewable rewrite pass inside the structured screenplay, then compare the result with the named Celtx baseline. Export PDF for reads or FDX on Writer and above when a production system asks.
Celtx's current Film & TV editor imports FDX but documents Fountain and text as its screenplay download formats. Download Fountain and import that into Plot. Inkwell can export FDX later on Writer and above.
