Bring the best lines from an alternate draft line into your main screenplay — review semantic changes scene by scene before they land.
About 4 minutes in Plot
Each step matches visible UI in the editor.
In Plot, switch to the draft line that has the changes you want — an alternate ending, a room rewrite, or a table-read version.
Pick the parallel version with the good stuff
Open the draft line you want to incorporate from
Open version history and choose Incorporate into… then select your target draft line — usually Main.
Semantic changes before anything lands
Start incorporate from version history
Inkwell shows semantic changes — dialogue rewritten, scenes moved — not character noise. Accept or skip each change like a code review.
Scene and dialogue level, not line noise
Review scene-level changes
When you accept the changes you want, Inkwell applies them to the target draft line and creates a new save point you can name.
Name the save point — table read, alt ending, etc.
Confirm incorporated changes
Leave the source draft line for reference or delete it once incorporated. Your history stays searchable either way.
