# Campaign session prep

## Adventure title

A forest arrives for its appointment

## The opening situation

Roots politely knock on the council\-house door\. Behind them, a road the party used yesterday now leads to a clearing full of prepared seats\.

## People with conflicting wants

Ivo, the village archivist\: Keep the founding story intact; his family's authority depends on its heroic version\.

The Ash Listener\: Hear the founder's unfinished apology before the forest's oldest tree can rest\.

## Meaningful choices

Reconstruct the apology publicly, including the part the village would rather forget\.

Offer a new act of repair and let the forest decide whether it answers the original harm\.

## Clues the party can find

\- The oldest map places the village orchard inside the forest's former boundary\.
\- An apprentice's account records a rescue where the official history records a victory\.
\- The prepared seats include places for people who disagree with one another\.

## What changes if nobody acts?

The trees begin carrying occupied houses toward the clearing\. Residents are safe for now, but every hour makes returning them harder\.

## Tonight’s scope and table agreements

One session\: council archive, moving orchard and clearing\. Give each discovery more than one witness or route\.
