# Campaign session prep

## Adventure title

Two mushroom courts booked the same wedding

## The opening situation

The party reaches a cavern full of identical place cards\. A caterer quietly explains that the supposedly neutral wedding planner has disappeared with both deposits\.

## People with conflicting wants

Ambassador Moss\: Keep the guests talking long enough to secure a real truce\.

Chef Brindle\: Get the kitchen staff paid before another noble calls the shortage a diplomatic insult\.

## Meaningful choices

Combine the celebrations and make the duplicated promises the basis of a shared agreement\.

Track down the planner while the party improvises a meal and prevents the orchestra from choosing sides\.

## Clues the party can find

\- The planner spent both deposits fixing the only safe path to the cavern\.
\- The two treaty drafts disagree on one bridge, not on the entire border\.
\- Both intended couples have already agreed to postpone; their courts have not asked them\.

## What changes if nobody acts?

A ceremonial toast starts a harmless but extremely inconvenient burst of luminous spores\. Private conversations become visible trails across the hall\.

## Tonight’s scope and table agreements

One session in the venue and its approach\. Give the couples and staff meaningful preferences; they are people, not props for the negotiation\.
