# Campaign session prep

## Adventure title

An island votes to leave

## The opening situation

A harbor chain snaps during the counting ceremony\. The missing ballot washes onto the party's boat, blank except for a still\-wet thumbprint\.

## People with conflicting wants

Speaker Yara\: Reach the prosperous northern port before the island's freshwater reserve runs out\.

Boatwright Pell\: Stay near the southern fishing grounds, where families without ships can still earn a living\.

## Meaningful choices

Recover the erased vote and test whether the original choice still serves the island\.

Arrange a new vote with a credible water plan and a voice for residents excluded from the first one\.

## Clues the party can find

\- The thumbprint belongs to a resident declared absent who never left\.
\- Both ports sent charts that omit the same fresh\-water spring\.
\- The island follows the counting bell, even before a result is announced\.

## What changes if nobody acts?

A current carries the island toward a disputed channel\. Both factions try to ring the bell early, while the missing voter asks for a hearing\.

## Tonight’s scope and table agreements

One session\: council deck, waterworks and a short boat journey\. Decide the next safe harbor, not every future alliance\.
