# Campaign session prep

## Adventure title

The town that borrowed tomorrow's sunrise

## The opening situation

At the morning market, every clock stops\. A girl delivers a loaf baked tomorrow, with a note from the party inside\: do not sign the renewal\.

## People with conflicting wants

Mara, the orchard keeper\: Renew the bargain once more so the unpicked fruit can feed the town through winter\.

Oren, the dawn collector\: Collect the promised future hour before the missing time reaches his own family\.

## Meaningful choices

Break the bargain now and find another way to save the harvest\.

Negotiate who gives up an hour, with everyone who will pay present at the table\.

## Clues the party can find

\- The contract names an hour of willing labor, not an hour of life\.
\- Fruit picked in the borrowed light bears seeds already sprouting\.
\- The bakery's ledger records the same delivery on three different dates\.

## What changes if nobody acts?

At the next bell, tomorrow's rain begins falling inside sealed rooms\. Put a clock on the leak, not on the players choosing the collector's preferred answer\.

## Tonight’s scope and table agreements

One evening\: market, orchard and clock tower\. Resolve the next sunrise; the wider calendar can wait\.
