# Read and answer viewer comments

> Where a reader's comments on a shared script arrive, how to jump to the line each one is about, and how to resolve them when the note is dealt with.

[Try it in Plot](https://app.inkwell.software/projects)

When a share link allows comments, a reader can select any line and leave a note on it. Their notes come to you in the Feedback tab, pinned to the line they chose, without the reader needing an account.

_The Feedback tab before any notes arrive: the status filter (1) — open, addressed, resolved — and the list (2) where each reader's note lands, pinned to its line._

1. **Open the Feedback tab**

In the right sidebar, choose **Feedback**. Comments are grouped by the link they came through and ordered by position in the script.

2. **Jump to the line**

Select a comment and the page scrolls to the line it was left on, with the passage highlighted. The reader's name — or the label you gave the link — sits with the note.

3. **Reply if the link allows it**

Choose **Reply** to answer. The reader sees your reply the next time they open the link, on the same line.

4. **Resolve it**

When you have made the change — or decided not to — mark the comment **Resolved**. It moves to the resolved view, where it stays readable, and the highlight leaves the page.

> **Tip: From a comment to a skill**
>
> A comment that says "this scene drags" is a scope. Put the cursor in the scene and run [Save Lines](https://www.inkwell.software/skills/save-lines) from the skill palette; review its proposals with the reader's note beside them.

## What next

- [Share a script with a link](https://www.inkwell.software/help/sharing/share-links): Create a read-only link to a specific version, decide what readers may do with it, and watch what they read — then revoke it when the draft moves on.
- [Pin a sticky note to a scene](https://www.inkwell.software/help/writing/sticky-notes): Leave yourself a note on any scene, color it, find it again from the Notes tab, and resolve it when the thought is used up.
- [The notes dashboard](https://www.inkwell.software/help/sharing/the-notes-dashboard): One view of every note on the script — yours, your collaborators', and your readers' — filtered by who, by scene, and by what is still open.
