# Read the changes a skill proposes

> Move through proposed changes one at a time, accept or reject each in place, and make a save point that records what you kept.

[Try it in Plot](https://app.inkwell.software/projects)

When a skill finishes, its proposals sit in the page as markup: removed text struck through, added text underlined, each change with its own accept and reject. The draft underneath is untouched until you say so.

_A skill's proposals on the page: each change marked in place (1) — removed text struck through, added text underlined — with the Accept and Reject that follow the change you are reading (2), the bar (3) that steps between changes and can decide the rest together, and the pass itself in the Skills tab (4) with what it proposed._

1. **Jump to the first change**

Press `⌃⇧N` / `Ctrl+Shift+N` to move to the next proposed change, or `⌃⇧P` / `Ctrl+Shift+P` to go back. The page scrolls to it and highlights it.

2. **Read the proposal in context**

The old line and the new line are both on the page, so you read the change the way a reader would meet it. Hover the change for the skill's one-line reason when it gave one.

3. **Accept or reject**

Choose **Accept** to take the new text or **Reject** to keep yours. Accepting is not final: it is ordinary text again, and you can edit it.

4. **Decide the rest in one go if you want**

The bar at the top of the review offers **Accept all** and **Reject all** for the remaining changes once you have seen enough to trust the pass — or to dismiss it.

5. **Make a save point**

Press `⌘⇧S` / `Ctrl+Shift+S` and name it for the pass ("after dialogue pass, act one"). The History tab now shows exactly what the pass changed, and you can compare it with the version before.

_Accept and reject on each change, with Accept all and Reject all for the remainder._

> **Tip: Review later, not now**
>
> Leave the review open and keep writing elsewhere. The proposals stay until you decide. If you switch draft lines or restore a save point, Plot asks what to do with the ones still open.

## What next

- [Review a skill's changes](https://www.inkwell.software/help/ai/review-a-skills-changes): Work through a finished pass change by change, keep what earns its place, reopen a review you left, and see what a pass changed in History.
- [Changes and markup](https://www.inkwell.software/help/version-control/changes-and-markup): How Plot shows the difference between two versions: by scene and by line, on the page, with the same accept-or-reject reading whether a person or a skill made the change.
- [Make a save point](https://www.inkwell.software/help/getting-started/make-a-save-point): Name the moment your draft is in so you can compare against it later or bring it back, in one shortcut from the page.
